SASSA has revised its November 2026 grant payment dates because of the 4 November local government elections. Older Persons grants are paid early on Friday, 30 October, followed by Disability on Monday, 2 November, Children's grants on Tuesday, 3 November, and a final review day on Thursday, 5 November 2026.

Revised Dates: Election Day Falls on 4 November

Wednesday, 4 November 2026 is a public holiday (local government elections). To keep payments secure and avoid disruption, SASSA, with National Treasury approval, moved Older Persons payments to Friday, 30 October and shifted the rest of the schedule around the holiday. No grants are paid on 4 November.

Your Complete November 2026 Grant Calendar

SASSA staggers permanent grant payouts to reduce congestion at ATMs and pay points. Older persons are paid first (in October this month), followed by disability, then children's grants. The final day on 5 November covers grants under review and the remaining grant types.

What Happens If You're Paid on the Review Day

If SASSA flags your grant for a review or eLife Certification, you may be paid on Thursday, 5 November instead of your usual date. SASSA sends a bulk SMS to notify beneficiaries who fall into this category, so there's no need to worry if your payment doesn't land during the normal payment days — check whether you received that notification first.

Check for an SMS from SASSA about a review or eLife Certification before assuming your payment is late.

If flagged, visit your nearest SASSA office during November to complete the review and avoid disruption to future payments.

Ignoring a review request can lead to your grant being suspended next cycle, and cancelled if unresolved.

Your money stays in your account once paid — no need to withdraw it on the exact date.

Looking Ahead: December 2026 Payment Dates

December payments follow SASSA's full-year schedule (no change announced yet): Older Persons on Wednesday, 2 December, Disability on Thursday, 3 December, Child Support on Friday, 4 December, and the review/remaining grants day on Monday, 7 December 2026. We'll publish the full December breakdown in mid-November.

When Will the R370 SRD Grant Be Paid in November 2026?

The R370 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant doesn't follow the fixed calendar above. SASSA hasn't published an official November batch date yet, but based on the typical pattern of processing payments in the final business days of the month, the window is expected to fall between 23 and 27 November 2026. The 4 November election-day holiday falls outside this window, so batches should run across Monday 23, Tuesday 24, Wednesday 25, Thursday 26, and Friday 27 November. Your exact date depends on your application batch and payment method, and SASSA doesn't confirm it in advance for anyone. Beneficiaries should track their individual SASSA statusto see their exact payment date once it's generated.
